Weird hardisk I/O buffer error
I got a old dynabook laptop. Because its configuration is lower, I installed ubuntu on it. But there always appears hard disk error like "buffer I/O error on device hda, logical block xxx" while system is reading hard disk all along, and then the system hangs up.
I do not know whether it’s caused by bad sectors of hard disk. Maybe the old laptop is not compatible with Linux partitions. So I decide to install windows 2000 to test it.
Edit: I found from Internet there is a bug on Ubuntu which can damage your disk. Maybe it’s related to my hard disk error. #Bug59695
